SILA has the perfect opportunity for you to quickly and painlessly UPSKILL your way into a solid fundamental understanding of Surplus Lines. Master the jargon, identify the key players and map the regulatory ecosystem for this important yet often misunderstood part of our business. No excuses! SILA is providing SURPLUS LINES FUNDAMENTALS a virtual training class covering Surplus Lines fundamentals which includes terms and definitions, players in the surplus lines market, the role of the Surplus Lines Associations, and Surplus Lines licensing and tax reporting requirements.
Surplus Lines Advanced: August 26-27, 2021 from 2:30-4:30 EDT
Now that you have the Surplus Lines BASICS down, isn’t it time you upgraded your Surplus Lines skill set all the way? In just 2 afternoons (2 hours each) you can broaden your understanding to include international and domestic premium, excise taxes, state regulatory updates, state filing requirements, tax filings, we will discuss the effects of DSLI Regulations and much more. Besides, when are you ever going to get a chance to play Surplus Lines Jeopardy! As an added bonus, you can earn CE credit towards your SILA designation at the same time. SILA is providing SURPLUS LINES ADVANCED a virtual training class where instructors will discuss state filing requirements, the NRRA when determining Home State, the FL Clearinghouse, OPTins and more.
